Indiana Newsdesk PBS/NPR Affiliate: August-December 2024

Fall semester of my junior year at college, I worked as a paid News Writer and Reporter Intern for the Indiana Newsdesk. Here, I  wrote web or spot articles under daily deadlines at WTIU Public Television (PBS), WFIU Public Radio (NPR), and IU Radio/TV Services. I secured credible sources for interviews within a 9 AM to 3 PM window and ensures the article is published by 4 PM. I also anchored for the PBS Live show to do Headlines and put together Newsbreaks for the 5:55 PM show.

International Business Times UK: May-June 2024

At International Business Times UK, I created multimedia content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube using Adobe Premiere Pro and video editing skills while working as a video journalist for IBTimes in the United Kingdom. I attended three media events, such as Accountex 2024, Global Britain Trade Expo, and London Tech Week. Through my time in London, I gained experience in interviewing multiple well-known companies by learning the ins and outs of high-level professional journalism.

Extol Media: July-August 2024

A few weeks after I finished my internship overseas, I went back to my hometown to intern for Extol Media in New Albany, Indiana. At Extol, I gained experience by covering newsworthy events in Southern Indiana as a video journalist. I helped edit and prepare content for social media platforms to engage and inform our audience. I also collaborated with a media team to ensure timely delivery and high-quality content production.
